From the Chairman
Goa needs care. For some reasons which I do not want to go into right now, our environment management systems are down. Nature in our pretty little state has taken a beating. Our political system is unable to rise to the occasion. Someone ought to take matters in hand.
Three years ago, some of Goa's leading citizens and environmentalists decided to set up Green Goa Works, a non-profit company registered under section 25 of the Companies Act. They invited me to be its Chairman. I agreed. I am happy that I agreed.
Green Goa Works focuses on the rehabilitation of Goa?s environment. Its projects include garbage processing, composting, vermiculture; handling of solid waste dumping sites; collection and channelising schemes for plastic waste; cleanup of beaches.
Wherever nature cries, we want to be there. For those of you who desire likewise, welcome aboard.
